Okay, so I have officially taken my last class for my Bachelors degree. It feels good, but it would feel better if I was working. I have started my job search, no nibbles yet, but there are jobs out there, so I'm not worried (yet). It took me a long time to earn my degree, I'm glad I have it, and it should open doors that were not open last time I looked for a job.

Did you ever imagine that being let go would be so painful? That is how I got here at Governors State. I had never in my life been fired from a job. I couldn't get out of bed for a week, and the next week I was employed here.
They said that better doors would open, but when you are in the middle of a crisis, it is hard to envision life getting better. I am happy that your door to opportunity opened so wide and that you and hubby are doing just fine.
Sara, congratulations, you are the first student to complete the assignment. I actually felt the tears in my heart, as I re-visited the time (January 2008) that I was fired. I do not wish that for anyone.
